The origin and use principle of Tib Bar
Nov 04 , 2022
The tibial stick was recently popularized by KneesOverToesGuy, a huge proponent of shin training. The tibialis is the muscle in the front of the lower leg responsible for dorsiflexion (lifting the ball of the foot off the ground). KneesOverToesGuy believes that by directly training this muscle function, we can build a pain-free knee because this muscle is very active during the deceleration of athletic movements. Here, more strength and function means less stress on the knee during braking maneuvers, which means less likelihood of knee pain in the long run. Tib bars are available in two models: standard and solo. The standard bar is a dual-sided unit that allows you to work both legs at the same time, while the unilateral lean bar is a unilateral version of the standard lean bar that allows you to work one leg at a time.
